Transition Year

Students may select to enrol in Transition Year, a one-year educational programme, following the completion of Junior Cycle. Transition Year offers students a unique opportunity to explore subject options prior to senior cycle and investigate career choices through work experience placement. One of the many highlights of this year is the opportunity for students to go on an international tour.

In addition, throughout Transition Year there will be an emphasis on personal development, social awareness and increased social competence. The programme includes the following subjects.
